Posts: 17 August 5, 2008 07:17 PM	Tags : None So, I'm assuming (or hoping) that everyone has heard that they're currently working on a Witchblade motion picture. Michael Rymer (Queen of the Damaned, Battlestar Galactica) is slated to direct, but as of yet no cast has been announced. So, who would you like to see in the leading roles? Should the give the TV cast a chance, or introduce a whole new cast that is younger/older? What do you think of the project in general? Posts: 21 August 6, 2008 10:58 AM	I'm for the TV cast. I can't imagine anyone but Eric being Ian Nottingham. I'm not really sure if it's some other cast, I'd be interested in it at all. Travelingdog Time does not exist...there is only eternity!

I know we would think we had died and gone to heaven if he was cast as Ian - but does he want to leave this character behind and go foreward? Just a thought. Posts: 2 August 17, 2008 01:06 PM	My vote is for the original cast. I agree with everyone's post so far. No one else could do the characters of Ian and Irons, but Eric and Anthony. As far as Sara, is there any mention that Yancy Butler would come back? I like the lady that plays the female private eye, in the TV show called Blood Ties (Lifetime) Christina Cox. I think she would be good. I look foward to reading more, as this developes. Posts: 17 August 17, 2008 09:46 PM	I actually just read that they (whoever "they" may be) are looking to get an all new cast. They are looking to go younger and completely disassociate the movie from the TV show. From the tone of the article there was no disrespect meant to the show, I think they just wanted to open it up to a whole new audience. So, that being said, if the old cast isn't coming back and I absolutely have to pick a new (and younger) cast... Sara = I have no clue! Nottingham = Dominic Cooper (he's the only one with the dark looks I can think of) Irons = Jonathan Rhys-Myers

If they set it to be several years after the series, we would get to see the fully mature and hopefully independant Ian that we were all hoping to see evolve if they hadn't cancelled the show. Of Course, Anthony adds that extra something special too...so it would be good to see him again too. I read somewhere, that "they" said that Sara Pezzini wasn't the wielder, so I guess that would take care of Danny and Jake ... but it would be cool if John Hensley was still there w/ Talismania... I just can't picture a whole new cast...I think they need to consider the millions of people who LOVED the show.

Arclight Films and Platinum Studios are the two major studios involved, and I suggest contacting the studio via snail mail. You can always e-mail, but those tend to get ignored more easily.
